100 Miles, in 24 hours!

100 Mile Memorial Run - Seattle

Come join the Marines of Always Brothers, as they experience pain, fatigue, pride and mostimportantly, honor.

Why we run
For the fourth year in a row, Always Brothers will be running a 100 mile ultra-run in one day—this time for the second year in a row, in the Seattle area. This year, on July 26-27, 2014 we are planning to run again from Seattle to south King County, Pierce County and back to Seattle in 27 hours. Our run will honor the fallen from across the country and raise money for the education funds for children who last a parent in the War in Iraq and Afghanistan.  The run is expected to begin at 6:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2014 and end on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at approximately 9:30 am at CenturyLink Field Plaza between the Event Center and the Stadium. Unlike many ultra-runs, however, this run is not a race. The runners start together and end together as a sign of the unity shared between military members and especially the Marines, who started the organization.
Last year, on August 10-11, 2013, we run 100 miles in a loop from Leschi Marina in Seattle, through King and into Pierce Counties and back north to downtown Seattle. The purpose of the event was to honor Washington’s fallen U.S. service men and women from the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and their families, and to raise awareness and funds for the treatment of post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Last year’s effort raised $60,000, bringing our three-year total to approximately $180,000, 94% of which went directly to the charities and individuals we raised money for.
