SLPD - 100 Innings for Always Brothers

On Saturday August 30th, 2014, current and former members of the St. Louis Police SWAT Unit will be hosting the 3rd Annual Always Brothers 100 inning softball game fundraiser to benefit the children of four fallen Marines that were killed in action. This year the college funds of the children of LCPL Erik Heldt of Washington, MO., MSGT Aaron Torian of Louisville, KY, CPL Joshua Dumaw of Spokane Valley, WA and LCPL Patrick O'Day of Sonoma, CA. will be the beneficiaries of this event. Always Brothers, Inc. is a 501(c) non-profit group of former Marines who acts as the Backstoppers for the children. As part of their fundraising efforts they will be doing a 100 mile run in one day in August in Seattle as part of Marine Week. We choose to not run 100 miles, but we will play 100 innings of softball in 1 day. The SWAT team will play all 100 innings against 10 guest teams who will play us for 10 innings at a time. Each guest team will inherit whatever score has been tallied by the previous team(s). Cost per team is $300 for ten innings of softball. All proceeds will go to the "Gold Star Kids" via Always Brothers, Inc. The game will start at the Aviation Fields in Forest Park at 8:00am. It is anticipated the game will end around midnight. Teams will be scheduled in 90 minute intervals starting at 8a.m. Obviously we need teams that can play at all points of the day. Spots will be filled on a first paid, first served basis. Co-Ed teams are welcome, though we cannot guarantee SWAT will have females on the filed at all times.

The teams lined up against SLPD are:
